Socalo, which will be located inside the Gateway Hotel on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and 20th Street, is anticipated to open in the spring of 2019. The two chefs closed their 4th Street Santa Monica location of Border Grill in 2016. Now additional details are emerging about the restaurant’s name and projected opening date from the Santa Monica Daily Press.
